Description

I first painted Brombeerei in 2005, under the title Das Ei für die Schlange (The Egg for the Snake). In 2015, as I began revisiting my existing body of work for 25 Colours Stockholm, I reworked the painting, allowing the original egg to remain while opening up a new phase of association. The playful, fertile wordplay that emerged gave the work a new identity, bringing an earlier painting into the present and allowing it to unfold on a different level.
