Description

Flying Bear Hunter is one of my earliest SLIM paintings, created in 2017. It became the starting point for the Kallisto series, in which the image unfolded into four large-scale works. The transformation of the bear into the Great Bear draws on the myth of Callisto, who was placed among the stars as the constellation Ursa Major. Like many of my titles, it offers an invitation to association rather than a narrative.
