Description

Speculo began as a portrait I painted in 2005 for my unrealised exhibition Mouth-to-Mouth Fertilization. A decade later, I revisited the work, allowing a monochrome blue surface and a restrained sequence of brushstrokes to reshape its identity. The painting carries the memory of its earlier form while existing as an independent work in its own right.
