Description

Speculo began as one of three portraits I painted in 2005 for my unrealised exhibition Mouth-to-Mouth Fertilization. A decade later, I revisited the painting, allowing a monochrome blue surface and carefully placed brushstrokes to guide its transformation. The result is a new work that carries the memory of its origin while asserting its own independent presence.
