Description

Creme Kalkulator continues my exploration of the relationship between a pre-primed colour ground and freely placed gestures, first developed in works such as Vulpis and Minor Resistance (2016). The calm surface allows each painted mark to remain present, while the layering of colour creates a balance between restraint and openness.

Description

With Wohnmaschine, I return to a way of working that I explored in Vulpis and Minor Resistance (2016): painting on a pre-primed colour ground. After the monochrome surface is established, the painting develops through a limited number of open gestures. The contrast between the prepared ground and the immediacy of the painted marks creates a tension between stillness and movement.

The Unconsidered Pictures is a group of four paintings created in 2022 as part of Kallisto & Co.. Each work (100 × 80 cm) evolved through an intuitive painting process, allowing colour, gesture and composition to unfold freely. Together, the paintings form a connected body of work shaped by openness, transformation and discovery.
