    Description

    The Unconsidered Pictures is a group of four paintings created in 2022 as part of Kallisto & Co.. Each work (100 × 80 cm) evolved through an intuitive painting process, allowing colour, gesture and composition to unfold freely. Together, the paintings form a connected body of work shaped by openness, transformation and discovery.

    Description

    Kallisto N° 2 grew from my original SLIM painting Flying Bear and is one of four works exploring the same composition on a larger scale. It preserves the immediacy of the original image, while the other paintings in the series gradually evolved through further layers and transformation. As such, Kallisto N° 2 stands as the point of origin within the series, revealing the clarity of the first gesture and the beginning of a longer artistic process.

    Description

    Kallisto N° 1 grew from my original SLIM painting Flying Bear and became part of a series exploring the same composition on a larger scale. Over several years, the painting evolved through repeated reworking, gradually developing its own visual language while remaining connected to its origin. Completed in January 2025, the work reflects an open-ended painting process shaped by intuition, transformation and time.

    Description

    Königskobra was created alongside Hydra, both paintings evolving from the same exploration of direct oil imprimatura. In 2023, I returned to the work, adding a new layer to the background that deepened its spatial quality and completed the painting’s visual balance. Together with Hydra, the work forms a visual dialogue between organic movement, mythological association and abstraction.

    Description

    Hydra was created alongside Königskobra, with both paintings emerging from the same exploration of direct oil imprimatura. The untouched luminous ground preserves the immediacy of the first painted gestures, giving the work its distinctive clarity and presence. Together, the two paintings form a visual dialogue between organic movement, colour and transformation. (Hydra, in Greek mythology, is the many-headed serpent.)

    Description

    Leiriope grew from one of my original SLIM paintings, expanding its visual language through intuition, colour and scale. As the composition evolved, it developed its own presence while preserving the organic quality that defines the original. Named after Leiriope, the water nymph from Greek mythology, the painting continues my exploration of myth as a space for association rather than narrative. The original SLIM painting remains an independent work within my oeuvre.

    Descriotion

    Tyro grew from one of my original SLIM paintings, expanding its visual language through intuition, colour and scale. Named after Tyro from Greek mythology, the work continues my exploration of myth as a space for association rather than narrative.
