    Description

    Speculo began as a portrait I painted in 2005 for my unrealised exhibition Mouth-to-Mouth Fertilization. A decade later, I revisited the work, allowing a monochrome blue surface and a restrained sequence of brushstrokes to reshape its identity. The painting carries the memory of its earlier form while existing as an independent work in its own right.

    Description

    Speculo began as one of three portraits I painted in 2005 for my unrealised exhibition Mouth-to-Mouth Fertilization. A decade later, I revisited the painting, allowing a monochrome blue surface and carefully placed brushstrokes to guide its transformation. The result is a new work that carries the memory of its origin while asserting its own independent presence.

    Description

    I painted this work in two stages. As my body of work evolved, it naturally found its place within the Holmen season, where it became part of a new dialogue between the small-format paintings. In 2024, I completed the piece with a lacquered frame inspired by the visual language of 25 Colours Stockholm, giving the work its final presence.

    Description

    This painting emerged during the early recovery phase after my Hafentor7 project. I never uncovered what lies beneath the final image, and I never wanted to. For me, that hidden layer has become part of the painting’s quiet presence. The green lacquered floating frame has accompanied the work since 2023 and forms an integral part of the artwork.

    Description

    Hochsitz schwebend was created as part of the 12.5 Colours of Florence series. The intentionally preserved tear along the left edge and the distinctive texture of the handmade Büttenpapier are integral to the work, making its material presence part of the composition. Framed and signed in 2024, the work brings together painting, paper and object in a single presentation.

    Description

    Flugbär-Jäger is one of my earliest SLIM paintings, created in 2017. It became the starting point for the Kallisto series, in which the image unfolded into four large-scale works. The transformation of the bear into the Great Bear draws on the myth of Callisto, who was placed among the stars as the constellation Ursa Major. Like many of my titles, it offers an invitation to association rather than a narrative.

    Description

    Cordon bleu is one of the earliest works in my SLIM series and carries the original mark of the collection. The painting is presented in an object frame, with the signature from the reverse and the title incorporated into the framing, extending the artwork beyond the painted surface.

    Description

    Created in 2017, Vanilla City belongs to the first group of paintings in which I reimagined earlier drawings through layers of oil paint.
